Apply for Kickstart Scheme funding with REED

Get access to the government's £2bn Kickstart Scheme with REED and provide fully funded work opportunities. Boost your business and support unemployed young people.

Accessing funding

To apply for funding directly from the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), you need to offer a minimum of 30 new placements. If you are planning to offer fewer than 30 placements, you will need to apply through a registered gateway organisation, like REED.

Why choose REED as your gateway partner?

Why take part in the Kickstart Scheme?

The government scheme provides funding for 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit.

Provide invaluable work opportunities for young people, helping to fight unemployment and boost the economy.

How it works

We take the details of your vacancy, review it for you and submit your application to the DWP. Once approved by the DWP, you will receive applications for your vacancy via the Job Centre Plus. You select the candidates you wish to interview and hire.

FINDING YOUR KICKSTARTER

Our Learning Mentors keep in touch to provide any support the Kickstarter needs throughout their six month placement. In the six weeks you will receive your grant and then the wage reimbursement monthly, one month in arrears.

ONGOING SUPPORT & PAYMENT SCHEDULE

On the Kickstarter’s first day, we will send you logins to the Employability Skills Training to support your usual onboarding process. We will also notify the DWP of your new starter, to trigger the request for funding.
